The sampling of the upper respiratory tract for analysis of the presence of SARS-CoV 2 genetic material using the PCR method shall be carried out in the same way as the sampling for analysis by rapid antigen test.

After collection, the smear is inserted into the transport medium, which is equipped with an identification label and transported to one of the accredited laboratories, which performs the PCR analysis.

The results of the test are known within 24 hours, usually the next morning.

By testing for infection with a new coronavirus with rapid tests, we want to detect as much as possible all those infected people who do not have any significant signs of infection and would therefore unwittingly spread the infection to other healthy persons nearby.

Anyone with a positive rapid antigen test shall be considered positive for the new coronavirus and a confirmatory PCR test should be performed.

After taking a sample from the upper respiratory tract and applying it to the test slip, the test operator may read the result after 15 minutes. Your result is then entered into the Transmission System in the Central Patient Data Register (CRPP).

How is notification of hagt test results?

• From 051 285 886 you will receive an SMS message that the result of your testing is available.
• Respond to the message as instructed:
  • patients with zzzs card with the last two characters of ZZZS card,
  • patients without zzzs card with the year of birth.
• If you answer correctly, you will receive a test result in the following message.
• If your test result is positive, you will also receive a TAN code for the mobile app #OstaniZdrav.

• In case of a positive result, we will call you in person from the removal site within 1 hour. If you don’t receive the call, you can safely assume that your result was negative.
• You can also check the test result on the vvem portal (access is only possible with a digital certificate).
